FINDING QUIET STRENGTH WORKSHOPS

Half Day (3hr Session)

A half day workshop that gives participants a toolkit of ways to reset and find quiet strength in daily life and in performance situations. Participation will involve:

– Movements rooted in Alexander, Tai Chi and Yoga designed to help people become aware of their body and how their physical state is influencing their choices.
– Ideas for finding a sense of safety in times of stress or fear.
– A time of quiet in the workshop where stillness and calm is cultivated.


1 DAY (2x 3hr Session)

In addition to the work involved in the half day workshop a full day workshop allows time for some more targeted work to find quiet strength in performance situations. This could be musical performance, theatrical performance, presentations or hosting meetings. Workshops involve:

– Movements rooted in Alexander, Tai Chi and Yoga designed to help people become aware of their body and how their physical state is influencing their choices.
– Ideas for finding a sense of safety in times of stress or fear.
– A time of quiet in the workshop where stillness and calm is cultivated.
– Work specifically looking at how to stay embodied while using screens and working online.
– Awareness work that targets noticing distractions, loss of focus and discomfort in order find quiet strength throughout longer work periods.
-An anatomical overview helping participants understand and more clearly experience the structure of the body in movement.

Weekend Workshop (2 day)

A weekend workshop allows participants to look more deeply into the fundamentals of working towards a state of quiet strength. The weekend workshop is designed for people interested in integrating this work into groups whether this be teachers, ensemble performers or teams wishing to find stronger ways of working together.

In addition to the work of the half day and day sessions this workshop teaches participants group activities to bring the team into a collectively calmer and more mutually aware state.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are also available in person or on zoom. These will be 1hr long. In person lessons will take place near Finsbury Park Station in London.
